Issue 3 – THE WARRIOR
It is a time for Umeboshi to face the Hokan, and the near death twin’s still harness the power of the moon. They must be destroyed before their end, or the moon will rule over the land for an eternity.
A violent battle begins and the Hokan strikes blow after blow almost killing Umeboshi. Yushi will have to choose between her thirst for power and her love for a son. She forces her hairpin into one of the twin’s shoulders and causes them to lose focus.
Umeboshi drives the Hokan backward until it vanishes to expose the twin’s fragile bodies. He smashes them through a wall, over the edge of a cliff and into the sea below.
The Sun appears from behind the moon and the dark clouds dissipate. Flowers bloom, trees bud and the sea calms. Humanity’s pallid existence is finally granted energy from its creator. The Earth is the Suns once more.
A lone tear falls from Yushi’s eye and into the sea below, her curse lifted. She reaches for her husband’s hand and he kisses her gently. They look to the sea hopeful of their sons return.
